At the young age of 20, vocal sensation Anaïs Reno is making waves on both sides of the Atlantic.
From her affecting new album recorded live at London’s storied PizzaExpress Jazz Club, to appearances at venues and festivals both here and abroad, Reno is a burgeoning talent on the rise.
Her debut album celebrating the music of Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn, titled Lovesome Thing: Anaïs Reno sings Ellington & Strayhorn with the Emmet Cohen Trio, was released in 2021 and received international critical acclaim, climbing to number six on the jazz chart after performing in the Top 10 for 4 consecutive weeks. She was featured on Good Day NY’s “New York State of Mind” welcome-back-to-New-York video with a wide variety of stars including Idina Menzel and Stephen Colbert.
Reno also sang “America the Beautiful” for the 2021 9/11 Mets/Yankees game and received widespread praise, with famed TV presenter Keith Olbermann saying, “This 17-year old who sang “America The Beautiful” (both verses, shocking the crowd) Anais Reno, is going to be a superstar.” And renowned journalist Bill Milkowski chimed-in in DownBeat, writing “Reno delivers with rare maturity throughout and delivers with uncanny dept…”
“The Club Room has a beautifully warm reputation, one I am thoroughly looking forward to experiencing myself as a performer,” she tells us. “Many musicians I admire have played there, and it is an honor to be included in the community.”
Reno’s sophomore studio album will be released under Club44 Records in 2025, featuring jazz luminaries Peter Bernstein, David Wong, and Joe Farnsworth. Don’t miss her Club Room debut on Saturday November 30!
